A Smile Worth Sharing

Chad shared this note after bringing Malachi’s MiraColt home.

“I can’t express how much of a true blessing y’all are to Malachi. … It melts our heart to see Malachi on Spider-Man and that smile is so heart warming.”

Movement in a Familiar Setting

Build Movement Around Your Family’s Day

Start with the person’s goals, interests and support needs. Work with your clinician to connect home activities with the wider plan for care.

Keep Movement Available

Bring riding-pattern motion into the home and plan opportunities for activity between visits to a clinic or equine program.

Make Participation Personal

Choose familiar activities such as reaching for a favorite object, identifying colors or singing together, with support matched to the person.

Plan for the Person

Discuss positioning, mounting and transfers, caregiver assistance, and the activity space with your clinician and our team.

In Zeke’s Own Words

A Ride He Chose to Write About

When his teacher offered two essay topics—the MiraColt or traveling back in a time machine—Zeke, who uses a talker to communicate, chose to write about his first MiraColt ride.

His handwritten essay, shared by his family, was written on January 13, 2025, after that ride the previous week.

A Follow-Up From Zeke’s Story

A follow-up update reported that Hope counted 182 steps over 25 feet before Zeke rode the MiraColt, and 170 steps over the same distance after 20 minutes of riding.

Home Use & Everyday Progress

Everyday Progress That Matters to a Family

Sean has participated in therapeutic horseback riding at ROCK for many years. His family uses the MiraColt at home between visits, including days when he cannot ride at ROCK.

In her October 2026 account, Ruth describes changes that matter in Sean’s everyday life. He continues to receive other therapies and support alongside his MiraColt use.

The family received their MiraColt as a donation.

“Sean is bearing more weight through his legs and assisting more with transfers in and out of his wheelchair. … While he continues to receive other therapies and supports, we truly believe the MiraColt has been a valuable part of his continued growth and progress.”

Something Dottie Looks Forward To

“Dottie walks right up to the MiraColt and waits to be put on. When she has tons of energy, she really enjoys doing more therapy work (cross body work, reaching, etc.) as I add in identifying colors with her cones and rings. On days where she is more fatigued, she is perfectly content to sit and sing.”
Lindsay, Dottie’s mother

Geno’s “Go Go Go”

“He loves to ride on it and watch baseball on tv. We asked him what he wanted to name it and he said, ‘Go go go!’ because that’s what he says to his horse at the barn to get her moving. So I guess our MiraColt’s name is ‘Go go go’.”
Beth, Geno’s family
